Quick fixes

Camera or microphone

Open iOS Settings, then Bokedex, and turn on Camera or Microphone. Then try again from the app.

“Hard to tell” results

For barks, record 5 to 10 seconds a few steps from your dog with the TV off. For photos, use one dog, good light and the face in view.

Walk shows no route

Allow location for Bokedex in iOS Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Location Services: choose While Using the App and turn on Precise Location. With location off, a walk counts time only.

No Pause on the Lock Screen

Open iOS Settings, then Bokedex, and turn on Live Activities. The walk shows on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island from the next walk.

Walks missing in Apple Health

Save to Apple Health is a Premium option and is off by default; turn it on in the walk setup. In the Health app, tap your profile, then Apps, then Bokedex, and allow workouts and workout routes.

Bokedex isn't on my Apple Watch

Open the Watch app on your iPhone, find Bokedex under Available Apps and tap Install. The watch needs watchOS 10 or later.

The watch shows an old plan

Open Bokedex on your iPhone, then pull down on the watch's Today screen to ask for a fresh plan. A dog's first session always starts on the iPhone.

Home monitor shows nothing

Both devices need to be signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud on and an internet connection. Keep the monitor plugged in, and check it says Listening.

No barking alerts

Turn on Barking alerts in Home monitor and allow notifications for Bokedex in iOS Settings. Alerts are hidden while the monitor screen is open.

Premium not showing

Tap Restore purchases in the app, and check you're signed in with the Apple Account that bought it. You can manage or cancel in iOS Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions.

What to include in an email

• Your iPhone or iPad model and iOS version, and your Apple Watch model if it's about the watch.
• The Bokedex version (in the App Store, or Settings, then General, then iPhone Storage, then Bokedex).
• The screen you were on and what happened.
