A dog barking monitor for when you're out.
Leave a spare iPhone or iPad near your dog and tap Start listening. It keeps listening with the screen locked, drops speech and TV, and keeps only the moments a dog is heard.
On your own phone you see every barking episode: when it started, how long it lasted, what kind of bark it was (an alarm at the door, a call for attention, food or play) and how worked up your dog sounded. Turn on clips to hear six seconds for yourself, and get an alert after 30 seconds, 1 or 2 minutes of barking.

What does Bokedex do?
It reads your dog's breed and mood from a photo and what a bark is about from a few seconds of sound. It trains your dog on a map of four AKC levels with 22 skills, tracks walks, keeps an eye on barking at home while you're out, and shares the journey with a small pack of friends.
Can I tell if my dog barks when I'm not home?
Yes, with Home monitor (Premium). A spare iPhone or iPad stays near your dog and listens. On your own phone, signed in with the same Apple Account, you see when your dog barked, for how long, what kind of bark it was and how excited they sounded, and you get an alert if it goes on. Only dog sounds are kept, and everything is deleted after 7 days.
Does Bokedex help with the Canine Good Citizen test?
Yes. The Train map follows the AKC's S.T.A.R. Puppy, Canine Good Citizen, Community Canine and Urban CGC tests, and every test item has a skill that trains it. When a level's stamps all read READY, your dog is ready to try the test with an AKC Approved CGC Evaluator.
What is Pack?
A small, invite-only pack for the friends you walk with. Each member shares their dogs' cards, the skills they master and the walks they choose, and you cheer each other on with stickers. It runs on iCloud, with invitations to named people only: no photos, no messages, no strangers. Pack is free.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes. Breed, mood and bark reads, training and Calm to sounds all run on your iPhone, and walks record without a connection. Home monitor and Pack use iCloud to reach other phones.
Is my dog's data uploaded anywhere?
There's no Bokedex server and no account. Photos, video, audio and walk routes stay on your device. Home monitor syncs through your own private iCloud, and Pack shares only your dog's card, new skills and the walks you choose, with the people you invite.
Does Bokedex work on Apple Watch?
Yes. The watch app runs today's training rounds, with a hold timer you feel on your wrist and the daily checks, and puts your week on the watch face. With Premium, it tracks walks too.
How much does it cost?
Bokedex is free to download, with one dog, one skill in training at a time and a breed, mood and bark read each month. Any single skill can be yours for $1.99 ($2.99 for a routine), kept for good. Premium is $9.99 a year in the US and unlocks unlimited reads, every skill and routine, the camera coach, Home monitor and more dogs.
